What is the GPAA?
The Gold Prospectors
Association (GPAA) was
founded in 1968 to preserve
and promote the great heritage
of the North American
Prospector. The GPAA was
also dedicated to providing a
platform for the exchange of
information, presenting an
organized voice for
recreational and professional
prospectors and helping it's
members find more gold.

Friends,
Your immediate action is needed.
On Thu, May 20 the US Senate will
have a floor vote on Senator
Murkowski’s resolution to not allow
EPA to regulate greenhouse gases
until the Congress acts to pass
legislation specifically giving EPA
that authority.
If you have read my weekly
HILITES, or my Executive Director
Update in the Alaska Miner monthly
journal, you will have seen the
myriad of ways EPA is attacking
business in general and mining and
oil & gas in particular. The threat of
this SJRes-26 is the only thing that
has thus far had any impact on
slowing down the EPA
steamroller.
Attached is the current estimate of
how all US Senators would vote.
Note that Senator Begich is leaning
to pressure from the Obama
Administration to oppose SJRes-
26. Please call and/or write
Senator Begich and urge him to
support SJRes-26. If you have
dealings in other states please
consider contacting those senators
also.
